THE ULTRA WHITE AFFAIR: “FOOD MEETS FASHION!”

Sarasota, FL, August 2, 2010:  Drummerboy Entertainment presents the 3rd Annual Ultra White Affair, scheduled for Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:30 p.m. The New WBTT Theater (located behind the Historic Binz Building), 1012 N. Orange Avenue in Sarasota. The event is scheduled from 9:30 p.m. – until.

The 2009 event was a SMASH HIT! And in response to popular demand, the Ultimate White Party returns. Partygoers are asked to wear white and bring clothing & food donations in support for the needs of local social service agencies. The 2010 beneficiaries of the Ultra White Affair are Goodwill Manasota and Mothers Helping Mothers.

Spearheaded by Drummerboy Entertainment, “The Ultra White Affair” idea started when brothers Étienne & Henry Porter and long time friend Greg Rumph, set out to do a fun, upscale event targeting the 25-45 crowd. CEO Étienne “EJ” Porter says, “We’re targeting the next generation of givers while throwing a great “P. Diddy Style” White Party. This age group is not usually targeted for philanthropy, so we’d like to do our part in emphasizing the importance of philanthropy on every scale and bring attention to social issues that affects all of us. This party will be sizzling hot, but it will also make a difference for people in our community. Our goal is to assist these organizations in the immediate sense, and more importantly, to begin to hone a NEW generation of givers.” “As the nation’s economy continues to recover, these two organizations benefit the community in ways that are needed more with each passing day,” states Drummerboy CEO Etienne Porter. “Drummerboy Entertainment is pleased to lend its support to non-profits every year, through resources that service families, and promote well-being and community cohesion.”

Great food, a cash bar and great music make this the party that closes out summer. Tickets for the 2010 event range from $10 - $40.  All guests are asked to canned food items and/or gently used clothing items that may be suitable for children or adults as well as back to school items for kids.

Drummerboy Entertainment is a full-service production and promotion company in Sarasota.  We invite businesses to join our effort to support these organizations through sponsorship and in-kind donations for this event,” states EJ Porter. “The more we defray event costs, the more we can benefit Goodwill and Mothers Helping Mothers.”
